One Job, One Passion: Discover the CNC Setter profession

At EUCLIDE INDUSTRIE, the people on the ground make the difference. Through our series “One Job? One Passion!”, we shine a spotlight on those who bring industry to life every day.

For this second episode, meet Alexandre, a CNC Setter at EUCLIDE Care. Passionate about mechanics, he shares how his curiosity led him to precision machining—a field where rigor, teamwork, and technical expertise are essential.

🔧 The CNC Setter Profession: Rigor, Precision, and Passion

« I love mechanics in all its forms… and machining was a perfect fit for that. »

After completing a vocational high school diploma in machining followed by a work-study BTS, Alexandre naturally moved into precision machining.
A CNC setter is responsible for setting up, inspecting, and optimizing numerically controlled machines. In the medical sector, precision and quality are crucial: every part must be perfectly compliant, sometimes to within a micron.

This profession requires rigor, focus, and an excellent understanding of machining processes.

💡 Innovation at the Heart of Machining

Beyond technical skills, Alexandre emphasizes the importance of reflection and curiosity in his work:

« Machining is a vast and fascinating field. You learn something new every day, and there’s always room to improve, innovate, and figure out how to do things better. »

This pursuit of continuous improvement is an integral part of EUCLIDE Care’s culture, where teams collaborate daily to tackle technical challenges and ensure the quality required by our clients in the medical sector.
