New DMU 50 at Euclide Care: Moving Toward Industry 4.0

Delivery of the DMU Machine to Euclide Care

After more than a year of preparation, Euclide Care has welcomed its new DMU 50, a 5-axis machining center by DMG MORI, accompanied by the EROWA ERC80 robot. This installation marks a major milestone for Euclide Industrie and fully aligns with the Industry 4.0 approach.

It’s the group’s second fully automated machine, following the robotized lathe in Brive. Thanks to the tool changer, sister tools, probing system, and pallet changer, the setup enhances process reliability and enables high OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).

This installation goes beyond a simple machine upgrade. It increases production capacity, reduces downtime, and ensures operational continuity. In addition, the TNC7 Heidenhain touchscreen interface provides teams with greater speed and autonomy.

This advancement perfectly illustrates Euclide Industrie’s philosophy: innovating boldly while continuously evolving its industrial tools to serve performance and quality.

5-Axis Technology Driving Performance

With the arrival of the DMU 50, Euclide Care is strengthening its 5-axis machining capabilities. It enables the production of complex parts with high precision while reducing rework and handling.

In addition, it offers greater flexibility in production planning, streamlines the sequencing of operations, and reduces non-productive time. It integrates seamlessly into the existing environment, allowing teams to build on their current methods while progressing step by step.

Ultimately, this new technology enables Euclide Care to reach a new level of industrial performance, with a pragmatic approach: improving existing processes, securing operations, and supporting teams.

Automation and Robotics: Toward Continuous and Reliable Production

The integration of the EROWA ERC80 robot paves the way for lights-out manufacturing, enabling autonomous production—even at night and on weekends. This increases productive machine time without requiring additional resources.

This level of automation also ensures consistent performance, reflected in high OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). Each step of the process is stabilized, reducing downtime and variability.

Beyond performance, this organization also makes it easier to anticipate customer needs by improving responsiveness and increasing production capacity. It is a natural evolution in line with current industrial challenges: producing more efficiently while maintaining a high level of quality.

A Modernized Interface to Support the Teams

The DMU 50 features a modern touchscreen interface, the Heidenhain TNC7 Dialogue, making operation more intuitive.

A dedicated internal training program has allowed employees to become familiar with the interface and automated functions. This strengthens their technical expertise and ensures process reliability.

By combining advanced technology with human support, Euclide Care ensures that industrial performance translates into quality, consistency, and productivity. The team becomes a true driver of innovation.
